A collection of antique French fashion illustrations by Laure Noël (1827–1878), associated with Musée des Familles, a French illustrated periodical published during the nineteenth century.
Laure Noël was the daughter of painter Alexandre-Marie Colin and part of a family of artists. Her sisters, Héloïse Suzanne Leloir-Colin and Adèle Anaïs Toudouze-Colin, were also painters and fashion illustrators.
The four prints in this collection feature different issue details and frame colours, and each print is available for individual purchase and offers a glimpse into nineteenth-century French fashion illustration.
