An antique French fashion illustration by Laure Noël (1827–1878), dated 12 December 1863 and associated with Petit Courrier des Dames, a nineteenth-century French fashion publication. The print is presented in a brown frame.
Noël was part of a family of artists, including her father, painter Alexandre-Marie Colin, and her sisters Héloïse Suzanne Leloir-Colin and Adèle Anaïs Toudouze-Colin, who also worked in fashion illustration.
Dating to the mid-nineteenth century, this print offers a glimpse into French fashion and publishing of the period.
